Membership registration is open
From today you can register as a member of VG Swift. You do so
online, through ‘Become a member’ at the top of this
website. You fill in your details, the years you worked at Swift and
the insurer(s) where you built up pension. You also authorise the
association to interrupt the limitation period of any claim on Swift
on your behalf, so that it does not lapse.
After registering you receive an e-mail to confirm your address.
You then transfer the 2026 contribution: € 30 to
NL82 ABNA 0157 9281 79 in the name of Vereniging Gepensioneerden
Swift, quoting your name. Once the payment has arrived, the board
approves your application and you receive a welcome e-mail with
your membership number. From then on you have access to the
members’ area with news, documents and your own details.
Association formally established
The articles of association of the Association of Swift Pensioners
have been executed before a notary and the association is
registered with the Chamber of Commerce. VG Swift is now a
fully-fledged legal entity and can act on behalf of its members.
The board is made up of the association's founders and serves
until the first General Members' Meeting. It has set the
membership fee for 2026 at € 30, covering the
association's start-up costs such as notary and Chamber of
Commerce fees, running costs such as web hosting, and hopefully
leaving some budget for a first round of legal advice.
Membership registration will open online in the members' platform
once we have opened a business bank account. This may still take
a while. You enter your own details there; the board reviews the
application and notifies you by e-mail.
Founding committee complete, statutes in preparation
The founding committee is now fully staffed. Three aspiring board
members — chair, treasurer and secretary — are filling these roles
on an interim basis until the first General Members' Meeting
following formal establishment.
The draft statutes will be prepared shortly. Once ready, they will
be shared with prospective members for feedback. The notarial deed
and registration with the Chamber of Commerce will follow, at
which point the formation of the association is officially
complete.
Website launched
Vg-swift.nl went live today. The site sets out what the association
stands for: indexation of the insured pension and open communication
with Swift. Former employees can register as interested parties —
formal membership will follow once the association has been
established.
From now on, this page will carry updates on our progress.
Initiative launched
Four former Swift employees, with backgrounds in HR, governance
and works councils, have taken the initiative to form an interest
group for Swift pensioners. The triggers: the absence of
indexation on the insured pension over a number of years, the
absence of any communication from Swift, and the lack of a clear
point of contact within Swift for pensioners.
